Meet your new best friends.
Corgibytes was founded on passion. In 2009, two high-school friends reconnected at their ten-year reunion. Both had big-brand experience, but wanted to do something more — to make the world a better place through better software.
M. Scott Ford, Chief Code Monkey
In high school, Scott was your typical geek. He spent every spare moment in the computer lab. Before class. After class. On breaks. During lunch. It’s no wonder he was President of the computer club, too. Scott simply loves writing code and fixing bugs. No, seriously. He has a passion for software like some people have for chocolate, or cats, or garden gnomes.
Over the years, Scott has become fluent in a wide variety of programming languages, such as Ruby, C#, Objective-C, Java, and even some obscure ones like Modula-2. His work experience is wide ranging, from mission-critical projects in both the government and private industry to hand-coded websites for non-profits. Almost every project where Scott has had input has benefited from his test-centric approach to developing software. He holds a Bachelors degree in Computer Science from Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University.
Andrea Goulet, Chief Word Slinger
Andrea began her writing career at the ripe old age of fourteen when she named her father’s printing company. Seeing her ideas splashed all over signage, letterhead and collateral had her hooked. Since 2005, Andrea has carved her niche in the interactive space, translating “Geek” into English. Her distinct conversational writing style ensures your content is clear, your application makes sense, and your users are engaged.
Andrea is a Magna Cum Laude graduate of Virginia Commonwealth University where she earned her Bachelors of Science in Marketing & Business Law with honors. She currently serves on two Boards of Directors: AIGA Richmond and the Richmond Chapter of the National Association of Women Business Owners (NAWBO).
And little Ein, too…
Corgibytes is named after Ein (short for Einstein), Scott’s adorable Pembrooke Welsh Corgi. She’s our mascot, and frequently makes appearances on our Facebook page. Bonus points if you can name the anime she’s from.
Her favorite activities include napping, being cute, learning TextMate, and lounging on her special spot on the sofa.
Thanks for stopping by. We look forward to learning more about you, too.
